How safe is shopping on Choklet's website?
Choklet uses CardSave to process your card details. CardSave is a member of the WorldPay Group, the UK's largest card processor. Once a transaction is made through CardSave, the data is coded using a 128 bit SSL encryption key. This type of encryption method would take 1.4 million years to crack! When a bank receives the transaction data, this type of encryption is a requirement in order for the transaction to be processed. So you can rest assured that with CardSave, transactions will be processed securely.
Will I get an order confirmation?
We will send you a confirmation email detailing the exact order received soon after your order has been placed. If you haven't received a confirmation email within 48 hours of placing your order then please send us an email.
How much are your postage costs?
We charge a banded postage fee for all UK deliveries. Orders sent via Royal Mail 1st Class post: for orders up to £25 we charge £3.95, up to £100 we charge £4.95 and up to £150 we charge £5.95. All orders over £150 postage is free. You also have the option of Royal Mail Recorded Signed For service if you would like proof of delivery of your item without paying for full tracking. This will cost an additional £1.00 on the postage rates quoted above. Should you require full tracking of your order you may opt for courier delivery at a cost of £9.95. If you have ordered more than one item we will endeavor to dispatch all items at the same time. If there is a delay with some items, we will notify you. You may request separate delivery of items but this will incur an additional delivery charge for each parcel dispatched.
When will my products be delivered?
We aim to dispatch your order within 4 to 6 days, sometimes quicker during quiet periods. Larger orders may take slightly longer.
Please bear in mind that the chocolates are not always kept in stock and are mainly made to order, for this reason we do not offer a next day delivery service. We will send you an email confirming the dispatch of your order. Recorded Signed For/Courier deliveries will require a signature on delivery, so kindly ensure someone will be available to accept and sign for the order. We will deliver to the address you enter at checkout and we accept no liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrect on your order.
We reserve the right not to arrange deliveries of chocolates during exceptionally hot weather as we have no control over temperature whilst your chocolates are in transit and cannot accept responsibility for heat damaged or melted products. We will of course advise you if there is likely to be a delay in your delivery.
What if only part of my order has arrived?
If you have not received your entire order as detailed in the order confirmation email sent to you, email us quoting your order number and what items you are missing.
Do you keep all items in stock at all times?
Our chocolate products are not always kept in stock as they are mainly made to order. We always endeavor to keep adequate supplies of our chocolate ingredients in stock at all times however, there may be times when we are waiting for some ingredients to arrive from our suppliers. We will advise you of any product that is temporarily out of stock and an estimated date for delivery. If there are any items, which cannot be delivered to you within 7 days of accepting your order, we will contact you by email to advise an expected delivery date. If this date is not acceptable to you, you may of course cancel your order for such items and receive a full refund. Generally though, any item knowingly out of stock will be removed temporarily from the website to avoid customer disappointment.
Do you deliver or send products outside the United Kingdom?
We are able to deliver to Europe only. Please select the European Delivery option at checkout.
Cost for delivery to Europe is £7.95 for orders up to £25, £10.95 for orders up to £100 and £13.95 for orders up to £150. Orders over £150 are free.
We are happy to deliver our chocolates anywhere within Europe but please be aware that local restrictions may apply. Whilst we will endeavour to ensure that your order is delivered in the best possible condition, we cannot be held responsible for the actions of local customs or temperature changes during transit, and so regret that we cannot accept liability if your order is delayed or damaged by heat. By placing your order, you accept that local customs may also apply additional local taxes.
We do not recommend shipping our chocolate products to hot European countries as we have no control over the temperature during transit and upon arrival abroad. We cannot accept responsibility for melted/damaged products.
Do we deliver to your address?
We deliver to all areas that Royal Mail/Courier Companies offer a service in the UK.
What if I'm not in when you deliver?
If you are not available when the postman/courier calls they will leave a card at the delivery address confirming that they have tried to deliver your parcel. Follow the instructions on this card to rearrange delivery, or to collect your products as soon as possible. We accept no liability if your chocolates become unsuitable or damaged as a result of non delivery due to no one being available to sign for the parcel.
If you are unlikely to be at home for delivery we recommend that your chocolates are delivered to an alternative address e.g. work address, where someone will be available to take delivery of them.
What if my order arrives damaged?
We take great care in packaging our products to ensure that they leave us and are received by you in perfect condition. Any damage to your order, which has occurred during transit, must be reported to us immediately on receipt. We will then ask you to return them to us and once received we will issue a full refund or send replacements by return.
What is your cancellation policy?
You may cancel your order at any time prior to receiving our ‘notification of dispatch’ email and receive a full refund. Should your order already have been dispatched you still have the option of receiving a full refund under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 (see returns section below). Should you wish to cancel your order please email us.
What is your returns policy?
Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000, you are entitled to cancel your order within 7 days of delivery of your goods. If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us by email. We will then ask you to return your goods in their original, undamaged packaging for a prompt exchange or refund. The product you return must be in perfect condition and we cannot be responsible for any items that arrive with us damaged in transit. We will consider the overall condition of the product being returned when making a refund. We will refund the price of the item or exchange the product as soon as it is received by us. Refunds will usually take about 7 working days, the speed of the refund will depend on how quickly your debit/credit card company processes the credit.
Regretfully Choklet does not pay the cost of return postage. This is in addition to your statutory rights.
